Therapeutic touch techniques provide deep relaxation, soothes tight, tired, aching muscles, promotes healthy immune response, respiration and digestion. Who can benefit from this modality?
Cancer patients during any phase of their journey can receive an oncology session that will be specifically devised for symptoms and presentations at that time. Massage sessions during chemotherapy treatment is encouraged and extremely beneficial. Massage sessions are most beneficial after the conclusion of radiation treatments. Post-surgical sessions may begin once medical clearance is obtained from the surgeon. Family members and caregivers will benefit from this modality of massage also, some techniques will differ based on presentation.
